Adrenaline Pulse Media has been a perpetual supporter of wikinomics, which is creation through mass collaboration, and every day I see more and more businesses take on this model to generate new-found success.
A very distinct example of this, and probably one of my favorites, is HitRECord. This unique concept of ultimately producing a film from a single simple concept and through the collaboration of dozens of people from various backgrounds, develops something very innovative. To explain exactly what HitRECord is and how it works can become quite complicated and usually can only be fully understood by checking it out for your self and seeing the process in work. However, I will try to generate some sort of comprehensible description that may give you insight… or just confuse the hell out of you. Either way, here we go; withHitRECord, a concept can begin with something as simple as a music composition produced by some talented individual in his basement. Another individual will hear this music and write an interesting short story to compliment the tone of the music. Someone else, who happens to be an upcoming graphic designer, will hear this music and see the story and put together a short storyboard to it. The process can continue when an animator takes the previous content and turns the storyboard into an animated short. Then its possible that an independent film crew takes it all and produces a short-film based on all the prior content. Finally, if it is all intriguing and has what it takes, then the project can be picked up and produced by a studio with special guest actors. The final product is put on the market and revenue generated is distributed throughout all the individuals that contributed to the project during it’s evolutionary process.
That is an example of what commonly happens on HitRECord, and the final products that come out of all this are truly remarkable. Oh, by the way; did I mention that this company was started by and operated by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Yes, the guy from “Inception”, “G. I. Joe”, and “3rd Rock From The Sun”.
